uniT arts association is an initiative based in Graz. From the beginning, adult education has been one of our main fields of work. uniT has already been involved in several Grundtvig/Leonard/Erasmus+ projects and is certified to offer adult education according to LQW (Learning-related Quality in Continuing Education). A central concern of the association is to develop innovative methodological-didactic approaches in adult education and to design unusual concepts that create new places and forms of learning. Two key competences, learning competence and cultural competence, play an important role. uniT works closely with Styrian universities and has a formal cooperation agreement with the University of Graz. One of the special focuses of uniT is education and integration work with people with a migration background. Within the organisation, the department "Kunstlabor" deals with European projects at the interface of art, education and social issues. In doing so, the Art Lab pursues artistic processes and pedagogical concepts that aim to involve people as participants in a variety of ways and to strengthen their self-motivation in order to enable them to actively participate in creative processes and use them to develop social capital.
